Khajjiar

Khajjiar is a hill station in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, India, located approximately 24 km from Dalhousie. The hill station is surrounded by meadows and forests. It is about 6,500 feet above sea level in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas and peaks can be seen in the distance. It has a rare combination of three ecosystems: lake, pasture and forest.


Kalatop Khajjiar

Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary is an animal sanctuary in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The sanctuary area is well laid out for trekking trails both at Kalatop and Khajjiar. There is a dense deodar and fir forest covering the sanctuary, which is about 6 km from Dalhousie. Pheasants, serow and black bear are some of the common animals found here. The sanctuary lies in the path of the Ravi River, and is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests.


Chamba

Chamba is a town in the Chamba district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, in northern India. The town has numerous temples and palaces. it is also well noted for its arts and crafts, particularly its Pahari paintings, which originated in the Hill Kingdoms of North India between the 17th and 19th century, and its handicrafts and textiles.


Chamera lake

Chamera lake is located in the Chamba district at a height of 763 M from the sea level. it is the captivating traveller’s destination. It is based approximately at a distance of 30 KM from Dalhousie. This lake was formed because of the Chamera Dam was built on the Ravi River. It is a great place for all adrenaline junkies as it proffers a plethora of water sports.
